Manila is a small locale located on a quiet residential street at the southernmost edge of Condesa. It is unique in Mexico as it serves duck tacos and nothing but. There are two styles: Asian, in which the roast duck meat is rolled in a flour tortilla and garnished with sliced cucumber and hoisin sauce same as Peking roast duck. Mexican style is similar to carnitas, i.e. shredded confit is piled on a heated corn tortilla, sprinkled with cilantro and chopped onion and spiked with salsa. Also offered are deep-fried duck wontons. There are no tables here, happy patrons sit on stools at the bar or stand along the wall.
