Around the World to Go: Takeout/delivery in Mexico City

Around the World to Go: Takeout/delivery in Mexico City

In this surreal time we are collectively experiencing, I am tempted to echo the title of an old Broadway show “Stop the World I Want to Get Off.” But, as the world keeps turning, we face the challenge of how to feed ourselves well. Some take on ambitious cooking projects. Others stockpile canned and frozen goods. I would like to encourage the former. Meanwhile, most restaurants have had to shut their doors (laying off many workers). Some are offering excellent special menus for delivery or curb-side pick up.

In addition, Culinaria Mexicana has proposed an initiative, Salvemos Restaurantes, to support the restaurant industry by buying “bonos”, sort of a loan system, which will serve for goods and services in the future. Stand by your favorite eatery by contacting them for information on how to buy a bond. See the list of restaurants here.
